About the Auction

What is the auction? The White Lights & Winter Nights Auction is ASB’s largest community celebration and fundraiser of the year—a joyful evening of dinner, connection, and spirited bidding that supports every student.

How are funds used? Proceeds benefit our school community through financial aid, teacher and curriculum development, technology, and facility improvements. This year, proceeds from our Fund-a-Need will be used to support the school’s Education Endowment, ensuring long-term stability and excellence for ASB.

How is the Education Endowment used? The Education Endowment generates annual investment income that directly supports ASB’s operating budget. These funds help maintain affordable tuition, provide competitive teacher salaries, and sustain excellence in academics, faith formation, and community programming.

Ways to Support the Auction

How can I support the auction? Community members are invited to participate in three main ways:

1. Donate an Item - Contribute an item or experience—gift certificates, getaways, unique packages—that inspires generous bidding. Other Ways to Contribute

Class Projects

Your children have been hard at work creating special keepsakes, specific to each grade. Support your child’s class by purchasing class projects available for auction between November 5th–19th. Feel free to buy one or multiple if you want to use them as gifts this Holiday season! Our goal is that we reach 100% participation in every grade!

Keepsake Black & White Photos Families can purchase keepsake photos between Wednesday, November 5th and Wednesday, November 19th as a lasting memory while supporting the school. When you purchase your photos, you will receive a digital version as well as physical copies that you can use as treasured gifts for loved ones.

Online Auction Select items will be available for bidding in our Online Auction, which will run from Monday, November 24th through Tuesday, December 2nd.

Sign-Up Parties Sign-Up Parties are themed gatherings hosted by ASB families. Guests purchase a spot to attend, and all proceeds support the school. Kid and Family Sign-Up Parties will be available in the online auction and Adult Sign-Up Parties will be available when the event doors open—spots fill quickly!

Almost Live Auction

During cocktail hour, select items are available for “Almost Live” bidding. Guests can write bids on bid sheets or use mobile bidding to secure an item before the live auction begins.

Live Auction

The Live Auction takes place during dinner. Exciting packages and experiences are presented one by one, and guests raise their paddles to bid in real time. This is where the energy and magic of the evening come alive.

Fund-a-Need / Endowment Support This year, gifts to the Fund-a-Need strengthen ASB’s Endowment Fund, helping to secure the long-term future of the school and its programs. You will have a chance to raise your paddle during dinner service to support our Fund-a-Need, with 100% of your donation going directly to our Endowment!

Event Experience

What should I wear? Join us in the glow of White Lights & Winter Nights with attire that feels festive and elegant. Cocktail or formal looks, a touch of sparkle, or winter whites are all perfect—wear what makes you feel confident and ready to celebrate.

Where is the event held? This year’s celebration will take place at Fremont Studios in Seattle, providing a beautiful backdrop for an evening under the lights.

Who should I sit with?

When you purchase your tickets, you’ll be able to let us know who you’d like to sit with. We'll do our best to honor all requests! You're also welcome to simply leave it open and we’ll pair you with other wonderful families from your child’s grade. Whether you’d like to gather a full table of ten, sit with a few friends, or meet new faces, we’ll make sure your evening feels welcoming and fun.

How should I get there? Limited street parking and nearby paid lots are available. We encourage guests to carpool or use rideshare for convenience.

Will there be games or raffles? Yes. Enjoy the Wine Toss, Dessert Dash, and raffle prizes throughout the evening.

What is the Wine Toss? Kick off the evening with a little friendly competition. Guests can toss rings or balls to “win” bottles of wine valued up to $100. It’s a fun, festive way to support the auction and warm up for the night ahead.

What is the Dessert Dash? Each table pools donations for the chance to dash to the dessert table first and select from a spread of decadent treats. Bake, buy, or procure a dessert to contribute—it all counts toward your auction support.

How can I enhance my evening? VIP wine and cocktail service is available for your table for an additional charge, providing a more elevated experience while supporting the school.

Bidding & Giving

How do I participate in bidding?

Bid on online auction items ahead of the event using your computer or mobile device. Raise your paddle during the Almost Live and Live Auction to join the excitement!

Can I bid if I can’t attend? Yes! Please contact auction@asbschool.org. We are happy to assign a bidder for you.

When will my credit card be charged?

A winning bid, or raised bid card during the Fund-a-Need, constitutes a legal contract to buy or donate. All sales are final. No refunds or exchanges are permitted. Credit cards will be charged after the event.

Are donations tax-deductible? Yes. ASB is a registered 501(c)(3) organization, and all contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Receipts will be provided for your records.
