The Assumption St. Bridget Theatre Ensemble proudly presents the beloved family classic, L.M. Montgomery’s Anne of Green Gables dramatized by Joseph Robinette and directed by Julie Olsen!

Meet Anne Shirley, or Anne with an “E”, a fanciful orphan mistakenly sent to live with two unmarried older siblings looking for a strong farmhand.  From the second she arrives at the snug white farmhouse called Green Gables on majestic Prince Edward Island, Anne knows she must prove her worth in order to stay. A skinny girl with fiery red hair and a temper to match, she’s not what Marilla and Matthew Cuthbert expected. Will Anne’s lively imagination, intelligence and persistence win over the stoic Cuthberts and the townsfolk? Be swept away by Anne’s journey of friendship, family, love and finding her forever home.

Joseph Robinette is the author or co-author of 55 published plays and musicals. His plays have been produced by Lincoln Center, Pittsburgh Playhouse, Goodman Theatre, Kansas City Repertory Theatre, Seattle's Fifth Avenue Theatre and the BBC, among others.

Produced by special arrangement with THE DRAMATIC PUBLISHING COMPANY of Woodstock, Illinois
